Methods that work.
Together, let's find what works. We'll explore, experiment, make adjustments, and build confidence as you learn new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.
No two people are exactly alike. Your personality, relationships, life experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals are uniquely yours. The same is true of the problems that bring people to therapy. What works beautifully for one person may not be the best approach for another.
Effective therapy requires both a strong relationship and the right tools for the situation. My job is to understand you, understand the problem, and draw from the approaches that are most likely to help. Together, we'll discover what works best for you and adjust as we learn more along the way.
I am trained in several evidence-based approaches, including TEAM-CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD. Some clients appreciate a highly structured, skills-based approach. Others benefit from deeper emotional processing, relationship-focused work, or trauma treatment. Most people find that a combination of methods serves them best.
Which method is right for you?
You may recognize your goals in some of the statements below. Think of them as common starting points that can shift once therapy begins. Rather than fitting you into a particular model, I use these approaches as tools, adapting them to fit your goals, your strengths, and the changes you're hoping to create.
Measurement-based cognitive behavioral therapy. Tracking your progress so we can see what is actually moving you forward.
Read the TEAM-CBT page →Build practical skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Learn tools you can apply to everyday challenges and relationships.
Read the DBT page →EMDR helps your brain process experiences that may have become "stuck." As healing occurs, the memories remain, but the fear, shame, sadness, or anxiety attached to them begins to fade, creating space for healing and growth.
Read the EMDR page →The gold-standard, evidence-based therapy for couples. It helps you recognize and change the patterns that keep you stuck, leading to deeper understanding, healthier communication, and a more connected relationship.
Read the EFT for Couples page →OCD operates differently than other forms of anxiety and requires a different kind of treatment. ERP helps you change your response to intrusive thoughts, and I-CBT helps you recognize and change the reasoning patterns that make intrusive thoughts feel believable, so OCD loses its grip on your life.

What if I don't know which method I need?
Most people don't, and you don't have to. Together, we'll determine the approach that best fits your needs based on what you're experiencing and the changes you'd like to see.
Do you use just one method or a combination?
Usually, it's a combination. Many clients find that meaningful change happens through small shifts from different angles, such as learning to regulate emotions while also becoming more aware of thought patterns. Together, these changes support deeper, more lasting healing and growth.
Can I switch methods mid-treatment?
Absolutely. If something isn't working or progress feels stuck, we'll reevaluate and shift course. Your feedback is an important part of the process so we can stay focused on what's helping you move forward.
